In the Fall of 2007, NGT Models opened its WEB doors for Business. My own love of Garden Railways made it a satisfying direction to travel, and filled a need in the market not yet saturated with large commercial outlets.

I've been involved with model trains all my life. My Father had a Lionel Layout built completely around one of the spare rooms, my Brother had an HO Layout in the basement, my Mother - who was born in England - worked on the Southern Railway as a Guard during WWII. The Grand Trunk Railroad, with its beautiful Canadian Inspired Hudsons and Northerns, ran right in front of our home. I was destined to be involved with railways.

Once long go, I had a Garden Railway at my Parents house, but time and travels left it unattended for several decades. When some friends offered me the wooded quarter acre behind their home, I knew it was time to begin building my new Railroad Empire - The Nairobi and Grand Trunk Railway Company - very loosely based on the George of the Jungle Cartoon's featured railway.

We were fortunate to be able to become Dealers for several of the better-known suppliers to Garden Railways. This, combined with our own love of the hobby, is what NGT Models is all about; spreading the sound of little locomotives through every garden across North America.
